It is such a vibrant and energetic exchange joining other podcasters for meaningful conversations to share stories and perspectives. In one of those beautiful experiences, I had the pleasure of joining Amy and Natalie on the Bontanical Bruhaha Podcast to talk about something very important to me as a floral artist, mentor, and educator — the importance of self-care and finding balance in the hustle of creative work. We dove into navigating burnout and how to forge a path in floral design that is authentic and successful too.
I loved this conversation so much, sharing time with Nat and Amy, who are so devoted to our creative industry and the incredible people making it all happen, so I wanted to share it with you here:
Join me as I chat with Amy and Natalie about:
- The importance of authenticity in our creative work so that our efforts nourish us along with those we serve
- The importance of creativity and self-expression in personal and professional life
- The need for finding balance in work and life through self-care and rest
- Navigating burnout in creative fields
-
The cyclical nature of or life and work, drawing parallels between seasons and personal growth
-
The role of floral design as a means of connecting, healing, and service to oneself and others
- The story behind drawing together our areas of expertise and passions to create authentic offerings, with my development of @tarot_of_flowers as an example
This conversation was a joy to share on the BB Podcast, and it felt so aligned and beautiful. Give it a listen through the link in my bio or head over to Botanical Brouhaha for this episode (episode 131) and so many more in support of floral artists and creatives.
Thank you to Amy @botanicalbrouhaha @bloomtrustco and Nat @hey.nataliegill @native_poppy 💗💗💗 and to @arielminphoto for the beautiful photos included here.
