N&B Book Club: Reading to Inspire Expansion

N&B Book Club: Reading to Inspire Expansion

As a writer, a former professor of literature and writing, and lifelong learner myself, I am an ardent reader. I find books to be powerful teachers and sources of wisdom that connect us to shared human experiences across space and time. Books are unarguably essential to increasing our knowledge and to expanding our perspectives too. In short, reading is a gift of education and expansion that keeps on giving.

In the spirit of our focus on transformative education at Nectar & Bloom, I've launched a new community experience: the Nectar & Bloom Book Club. Essentially, I select and share books that have been inspiring and impactful to my growth as an artist and business owner, and I invite you to read along with me at your own pace. All are welcome to join.

I also host a book discussion circle from time to time, which you can join live or watch as a replay — you'll have access to the discussion circle as a Poetry of Flowers member or when you join N&B Book Club through joining my newsletter. In these discussion meetups, I share my insights on the book and its writing, answer questions, and curate space to share our thoughts and learnings.

Reading is transformative. It is a way for us to connect and share tools and perspectives that enrich our lives, our creative work, and our careers. Books build community and expansion — two things I absolutely love and love to facilitate. Feel free to join on any book you feel like reading with us, and stay tuned through my newsletter as I share my next book recommendations.

You can find a list of all of the Nectar & Bloom Book Club posts and book recommendations here to see what books we have read or are currently reading. Enjoy!

PS: As you read along, please consider supporting your local bookshops — check out bookshop.org or indiebound.com to search for your local independent book stores. If you're in San Diego, I love Book Catapult right here in South Park, and they offer online orders too! You can also get audiobooks on Audible or or Spotify, or you can rent books for free on the library app Libby.

Happy reading,

XX
