ONE-ON-ONE STUDIO MENTORSHIP
It is such a delight to welcome inspired creative souls into my sunny little studio here in San Diego, California, for a Studio Mentorship. This mentorship experience is multi-day, one-on-one floral workshop for floral artists (established or aspiring) who want to step into an aligned next chapter. My mentees often come to level-up, pivot, start anew, expand into alignment, or any number of other brave moves forward into their dream business and design work. It is always such a joyous and also potent time to really dive in and build new skills and strategies together.
Since early 2019 I've been teaching one-on-one mentorships in my studio to student designers from all over the world that are tailored to each mentee on a myriad of topics within foam-free floral artistry, business and branding, and holistic wellbeing. I started with just half-day or one-day experiences, but over the years the requests have grown to 2-day and sometimes 3-day mentorships to really make an in-depth and encompassing immersive experience out of our time together. The Studio Mentorship is the perfect way to uplevel, start something new, or pivot into your next calling with confidence, devotion, and my full support.
What to Expect From a Studio Mentorship
A PEEK INSIDE THIS IMMERSIVE FLORISTRY EXPERIENCE
I am always thrilled to hear from you when prospective mentees reach out about a Studio Mentorship, and we always start with a discovery call together to connect, share details, and answer your questions so I can customize an experience to your dreams and goals. My studio is just 15 minutes from the San Diego airport in South Park, named so because our neighborhood is just south of Balboa Park, the green gem of San Diego, which is close by.
Once you arrive, a warm and peaceful creative space and a deeply intentional experience await you. We will move through floral design sessions on your topics of choice and also big picture strategy sessions tailored to your interests throughout our time together. Your Studio Immersion includes nourishing lunches, welcome gifts, all tools and materials needed, and an abundant array of flowers for our design work in a palette selected for you.
Photography is such a huge part of capturing our ephemeral floral work, as well as the experience we share together, so we conclude with a warm and supportive photo shoot to capture all the beauty for your memories and portfolio too.
My Approach to Mentorship
A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO FLOWERS, DESIGN, BUSINESS, & WELLBEING
I am by nature thorough and holistic with just about everything I do. I take an integrated approach to both floral design and business that help you to build or refine a creative practice that you love and that brings you success and supports you living your life in alignment. I believe that a creative business should add to the quality of your life, not take away from it, so we create and strategize together in ways that are designed to help you step into authenticity and prioritize joy and purpose in your floral work.
In this same holistic vein, your Studio Mentorship also includes pre-mentorship guidance and post-mentorship support. Before you arrive, I facilitate for you a pre-mentorship assignment to support us building something really authentic and meaningful for you during the mentorship. After you leave I invite you to stay in touch and reach out with any questions you have, plus I always send you off with a personalized follow-up PDF with guidance and next steps to support you implementing all that we learn during your mentorship.
Essentially, we begin before we meet and we continue after our time together because mentorship is a very special relationship during a beautiful moment of growth and transformation for you, and I value really connecting with you and seeing you thrive.

In these 1-hour remote video coaching sessions, we meet and work through projects and pain-points alike, coaching you through where you are feeling stuck or ready to grow. I created the Poetry of Flowers online floristry courses and all-access immersion pass to make floral design education available to you anywhere you are and at your own pace. Many of my mentees like to take a course or two before joining me in the studio for a Studio Immersion to prepare or to start learning before we dive into larger or more complex designs together.
